Diwali Shopping in Dubai: The Party Supplies You Should Order Online
Diwali shopping in Dubai often includes a visit to Meena Bazaar in Bur Dubai or the shops in Karama to buy sweets, clothes, diyas, and gifts. Many families enjoy this part of the festival. However, not everything on the list needs to be bought in person.
Items such as plates, cutlery, tissues, and carry bags are heavy and take up space, and they are often forgotten until the last day. You can order these online from the Hotpack Webstore Diwali sale and have them delivered, which leaves more time for the rest of your shopping.
Below is a list of party supplies that are worth ordering before Diwali, so they reach your home in Dubai in good time.
Plates for Every Course
If you are hosting family or friends during Diwali, it is best to arrange plates first. Most Diwali meals include main dishes, snacks, and sweets, so three plate sizes are usually enough.
-
Bio-degradable plate 10 inch, 500 pieces for the main meal
-
Bio-degradable plate 9 inch, 500 pieces for starters and chaat
-
Bio-degradable plate 7 inch, 1000 pieces for mithai and desserts
For those who prefer plastic, the deep white round plastic plate is available in 7, 9, and 10-inch sizes. The deep shape is suitable for dal and curries.
Cutlery Ready to Hand Out
The wooden cutlery pack with spoon, fork, knife, and napkin has each set wrapped separately, which is more hygienic when serving a large group. For snack tables, the disposable wooden fork is usually sufficient.
Tissues for a House Full of Guests
Tissues are used up quickly when sweets and fried snacks such as samosas and pakoras are served. If you have a tissue dispenser at home, in the office, or at a community hall, V-fold tissues are a suitable option:
Portion Cups for Chutneys and Sweets
Small cups can be used for chutney, raita, or pickle on a buffet table and for serving small portions of halwa or kheer. The black base portion cup with lid can also be used to pack leftovers for guests.
Jars for Homemade Diwali Gifts
If your Diwali shopping in Dubai includes gifts for neighbors and colleagues, homemade sweets packed in a clear jar are a good choice. You can fill the jar with laddoos, dry fruits, or
Namkeen and finish it with a ribbon.
Our range of cookie jars and bottles includes a 260 ml clear jar with lid, which is a suitable size for small gifts.
Paper Bags for Carrying Gifts
During Diwali, many people visit several homes and carry boxes of sweets with them. The twisted-handle kraft brown paper bags are strong and available in different sizes. The 32 x 20 x 33 cm size fits most standard sweet boxes and small hampers.
Tips for Smarter Diwali Shopping in Dubai
Divide your list. Buy clothes, jewellery, fresh sweets, and decorations in person, as these are better chosen by seeing them. Bulky items such as plates and tissues can be ordered online.
Order early. Deliveries can take longer in the days before Diwali. Ordering during the sale gives you enough time to add any items you may have missed.
Plan for all five days. Many families host more than one gathering during Diwali. Buying larger packs at one time usually costs less per piece.
Choose quieter times. If you plan to visit Meena Bazaar or Karama, weekday mornings are generally less crowded than evenings and weekends.
